Futures evaluations live or die on the drawdown type. A trailing intraday drawdown follows your unrealised peak tick by tick, so a winning trade you give back can still trip the limit; an end-of-day (EOD) trail only locks in at the close, which is far more forgiving for active traders; a static drawdown never moves. Two firms at the same price can be worlds apart on this one rule.

The table tags each plan with its drawdown model. If you scale in and out intraday, an EOD or static account usually suits you better than an intraday trail, regardless of headline price.

The evaluation fee is only part of the bill. Many futures firms charge a one-time or monthly activation fee to turn a passed evaluation into a funded account, plus reset fees when you breach. Add those to the sticker price before comparing — a cheap evaluation with a recurring activation fee can cost more over a year than a pricier one-off account.

Futures firms route through platforms like Tradovate, Rithmic, NinjaTrader, or Tradovate-compatible front ends, and each carries its own data fees and automation rules. Confirm the plan supports the platform and order types you actually use, plus the news-trading and automation rules.
