The rule tape

Prop-firm rule changes

A dated log of firm-side rule, account, pricing, payout, and product changes — tagged favorable, adverse, or neutral for traders. Filter by firm, market, change type, or date. Every change links back to the firm and its sources.

This log keeps two streams apart. Firm changes are things a firm did on its own pages — 40 of them, 11 in the last 30 days. Record corrections are ours: when a re-read of a firm's rules page disagrees with what we had published, we log the fix here with its source. There are 287 of those, 287 in the last 30 days. A correction's date is the day we corrected it, it never counts as firm activity, and it carries no favorable or adverse arrow — our data moved, the trader's terms did not.

Nothing here is ever deleted. When something we published turns out to be wrong, it is withdrawn — struck through, dated, with the reason and the source that should have been read — and it stops counting as either a firm change or a correction. One entry has been withdrawn. Deleting the row instead would erase the fact that we ever said it, which is not something a record gets to do.

On 8 September 2026, 79 entries already published here were rewritten in place. Each read in the form “FirmFax corrected the overnight holding for [firm] from not allowed to none.” They now read “FirmFax withdrew the overnight holding for [firm] (previously not allowed): no cited page supports a value.” The 79 sit on 20 firms and are dated 4, 5 and 8 September 2026.

“None” there was a generator rendering an absent value, and on this log “none” is also a real term: a firm that publishes no overnight restriction, or charges no activation fee, produces the same word. So each of those sentences could be read as a rule moving from restricted to unrestricted, or from a charge to no charge, when what happened was that we withdrew a value no cited page supports. Seventy of the 79 are overnight holding, where that reading is the reverse of the record; the other nine are fees and day counts, where it reads as a term in the trader’s favor.

No date changed, no firm’s terms changed, and no entry was added or removed. The values the 79 describe are the same values. What changed is the sentence describing them, which was generated rather than written: a script composed each string from inputs that were never stored beside it, so the wording read as a statement we stood behind when it was a cached render of one. All 79 also carried a favorable, adverse or neutral marker written by that same generator, and all 79 now read neutral. Seventy said adverse, eight said favorable, and one was already neutral. No reader saw one: this log shows a marker only on a firm change, and shows “Our record” on ours. Rewriting published sentences in place is the act this log exists to catch, so it is recorded here once, with the count and both wordings, for a reader who saw the old form and wants to know what became of it.

On 8 September 2026, 88 further entries were rewritten in place, across 48 firms. The same generator wrote the same error in the other half of the sentence. Each read in the form “FirmFax corrected the reset fee for 10FOUR from none to $122.86”, where “none” again stood for a value FirmFax did not hold rather than a value the firm published. They now read “FirmFax recorded the reset fee for 10FOUR as $122.86; no value was held before.”

Those sentences read as 48 named businesses introducing a fee or a rule they did not introduce, under our byline. That is the reverse of the 79 above, which read as restrictions being lifted and so flattered the firms. By field: consistency requirement 18, first payout minimum 16, news blackout window 13, reset fee 12, minimum days to payout 10, minimum trading days 8, starting price 5, daily loss limit 3, founding year 2, news trading policy 1. Eighty carried an adverse marker and eight a neutral one; all 88 now read neutral, and no reader saw one, for the reason given above.

The entry above states 79. That was the count of one shape, not the whole of the defect, and these 88 were on this page while it said so. Nothing in it is retracted; the census went further than the first pass did. Here too no date changed, no firm’s terms changed, and no entry was added or removed.

FirmFax corrected the news trading policy from allowed to restricted window.

Withdrawn 2026-09-06. This correction was wrong. It was taken from a one-line summary in the rules overview, which says only "Allowed: Yes, but at your own risk. Restrictions: Specific rules around major economic events" and links to Tradeify's dedicated news-trading article as the authority. That article states Tradeify has no rules against or guidelines around trading news events. Tradeify's news policy is allowed and was never restricted; the entry is left here struck through so the record shows what was published. Caught by: A re-read of the source the rules overview cites.
